About Me

I'm a West Point graduate and I served in the Army for eight years. I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College’s MFA Writing Program, and I live, write, and work in New York. 

The stories I write and love are focused on one broad theme: how people can make their lives better, whether by facing down great challenges or tossing off the shackles of their pasts. As a former Army infantry officer with two deployments to Iraq, I have seen and overcome my share of adversity. It is my goal to take the lessons I learned from my experiences and bring them to life in the lives of my characters.
